It has been necessary to ban certain types of user name. because of automated programs called 'Spam-Bots'. They access the Forum using names which may be unsuitable and it also helps to keep the spammers away, including the idiots!!

Examples that have been banned include *tard* *pharm* (to many to list here,) the * being a wildcard character. Therefore any name that includes one of the listed names will be rejected and you will have to select another user name.

Certain characters have also been banned and the are:
*!*, *@*, *$*, *.*, *-*, *_*, *=* but the numbers 0 - 9 have been allowed.

The Forum will automatically inform you if the name you have chosen is banned. In which case select another user name.
