Sorry that should be 'caused by bash in underside of fuel tank changing the volume'.

Hi, I'm Mark From Scotland, member 6680.

Still saving up for my first Alpine. Hope to get one before the 60's anniversary next year !! Would love to drive to Cannes from Scotland, but haven't told the wife yet ....

Looking to get in touch with Alpine owners close to home (East coast of Scotland, between Dundee and Aberdeen)

Tried to order regalia (2 years Horn back issues etc etc) but apparently it's not working at the moment.

We'll be at next week's Glamis Classic Car extravaganza with my wife's 1963 Ford Anglia.

That's it for now. Mark

Hi, I'm Jeff , husband of Frances. Bought the alpine for Frances' 50th birthday, spent a long while finding one in going condition, ran it for a couple of years, when the engine got a bit bottomendy, and the gearbox a bit rough. So decided to do some work on it, which ended up as m major overhaul. Got most of the work completed, got poorly, recovered from this, then as I got about fit took ealy retirement, bought a wreck of a cottage, and here we are 15years later !! Am now searching around to see what bits I've lost !! More later no doubt . Jeff

Hello!! First post, I'm a previous member from pre-internet days. I will attach a couple pics from events hopefully some old timers like me will recall and my avatar (if it works) is from a National @ Cricket St. Thomas.......

Coming to the UK in October, will look about the site for any possible events.....I know that's a bad month, but my mate is getting married and hence the visit. Look forward to getting reacquainted with some folks.....

When were you at Brooklands Museum? Thats my home area, I spend many hours a week working there. As you can see my job is very arduous or is it amorous?

We definitely took in the Brooklands museum but all I remember were aircraft. It was a Rootes car day and it pretty much rained the whole time but after some Brit mates of mine convinced the management I came all the way to England just for that event, they reluctantly let me take a few pics on the circuit. I believe a few other lucky Alpine owners managed to get the same......

Nice place to work and I see you managed some time out on that historic concrete too. Good for you! Up until now I had never met anyone who had driven their own car on it......I don't imagine even in Old Blighty many have either....

Hello my Name is David

After 10 years of searching I just got an Alpine. The build date suggests it was made in August of 1966. I am picking the car up and trailering it to a friends farm where I will be working on it. The car was pulled apart to start a restoration about 15 years ago and has been in storage untouched for the last 10 years. The engine and transmission were just removed to be put into another Alpine so I will be putting in something else.

Hi, my name is Terry and i`ve been a Series V owner and club member for 3 years. This is the first time i`ve used the forum, but reading through the pages it seems very useful.Perhaps someone can help me with some info. My 1725 engine is fitted with a 25D4 distributor, but it has the wrong springs. I can get hold of the correct springs if I can identify exactly what I require. Does anyone have the correct Lucas part No. or accurate dimensions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. Terry.

Hi, I,m Kevin Birch. I have been a club member for 1 year, having bought my second Alpine Series V HOX395E last Christmas. I previously owned Alpine OOO222D in the late 70's. Anyone know what happened to it?

Cheers,
Kevin

Hi Kevin
According to the current record (ID Number 1897) on the database last upated in 2000 she was alive and well in Hartfordshire. But if the owner reads this he might tell us something different!!
