What sort of budget? I could have spent more on mine, so if someone has a really nice one for sale I might consider taking a small loss (or a larger loss if I can transfer the wires and hubs over to a car without). Mine's been restored but wasn't finished well, the passenger door is missing the lower seal channel and there are a lot of niggling little jobs.
(It's also not running right at the moment, but I'll get around to that).
I reckon for a restoration (and I'm being very honest about what I can see here) it'll need work on the windscreen scuttle, the passenger door and perhaps the lower corners of the door apertures. The boot floor, floorpan, inner wings and chassis all look excellent on it and when it was driving, it drove really well.
Mind, I'm only going to sell if I find a better non-GT with overdrive (or a MUCH better GT). Mine's got a hardtop as well, but isn't a GT.
