Does anyone remember a dark red (was white) Series II Alpine in the Glasgow area with Aluiminum panels (hood/doors/trunk)? I acquired this car a while back and hoped to find more details on the history of the car.

It is a unique car... some racing/rally type modifications but I have reason to believe the panels may have been on the car from the start.

(yes, they are factory pieces - inner bracing in the lids are alloy, too, so it was definietly stamped in the presses)
