Hello to all

I'm Matt as you can see from the user name although the lovely Alpine we bought last week is most certainly under joint ownership with my better half... especially as she looks much better in it than me

Ive already found the site and forum extremely helpful in our bid to understand not only the inner workings of the Alpine but also of the combustion engine (!) as it would be an understatement to say that we dont come with extensive knowledge of cars

My pedigree is a father who had an Austin 1100 followed by a GT Beetle, the latter being a part of the family and lovingly cared for until the dark world of company cars took hold....... memories of his head under the bonnet every Saturday and Sunday are well remembered though

Last week we bought our first Alpine and our first classic car which is a cheeky series 5 in red and seemingly with an original setup.....

I am sure that i'll be browsing through the previous issues for a while until I can clear our checklist of issues that we have inherited............ see you there
