On the 2nd Tuesday of the month from about 5-30 pm Ashby Folville a small village in Leicestershire puts on a very good classic car gathering.

At the moment about three Alpines meet up on these evenings...so if anyone wishes to make the Alpine group larger just turn up !!

Hi.

Is this going to be the official meeting place of the area? And who is going to be the area rep. If so then I need to upate the Meeting Venues on the web site. At the moment Mike Ball is rep.

HI Dibs

No it is not intended to replace anything that Mike already does, it was just a invite to anyone really, in fact with any kind of classic to come and take part in an informal meeting.
The village green plays host to approx 100-200 cars and many bikes and scooters, but only during the summer months on the second Tuesday. I have spoken to a couple of other Alpine owners who come down with their families to enjoy the display. There are refreshments and, if you can get near the bar, a local pub too.

Hi Alvin

It's still at the Rose and Crown in Thurnby from about 8.30ish. Theres about 5 alpiners attend and up till now they don't seem to bring there cars along, but I have only been a member since October so maybe they just bring them when the weathers good. Hopefully I will take mine next week weather permitted.

Steve
